Abstract

It has been growing the number of elderly looking for the long-term care facilities (ILP). The present review aimed to describe the elderly long-term care facilities process and enphasize the exercise effects. This review described the functioning decrease along the aging process, and its consequences to social and finantial life, social and health of older as for example the loss of functioning capacity. We noticed that exercise is essential to reduce impairments and limitations of assisted-living old adults, and can induce gains in the independence of daily activities, improved self esteem a consecutively better quality of aging life.
