The increased longevity and reduction of mortality in last decades changed the profile of the population of the country. The role of this study was evaluate the food consumption of elderly asylees inside of state RS. It is a transverse study realized in august 2011 in a nursing home. Were evaluated through observation of food consumption the macronutrients, micronutrients and calories and status nutritional. The sample had 31 elderly, the majority being female (81,9%). The group analyzed 35,6% were with status nutritional committed. The macronutrients consumption was appropriate and the micronutrients was too except for zinc and potassium. Concludes this way that is fundamental importance the presence of a dieticin in this places to be an appropriate menu and a correct handling of those that are status nutritional committed.Downloads
