THE NURSING CARE PROVIDED TO WOMEN IN THE PROCESS OF AGING

Abstract

This is a traditional literature review research, whose data were collected in books and scientific theorists, published in scientific electronic journals and national and international scientific journals in this area, found in the collection of journals of the institution that developed the study. The objective was to describe the nursing care provided to women in the process of aging, approaching the role of nurses, difficulties and skills in the care of elderly women. At the end it was found that scientific studies concerning women in old ages are still scarce, end that the assistance provided to these women is poor. Thus the study possibles, especially to the nurses, a view on the need for training and scientific knowledge, and assistance to these elderly women.
