The purpose of this study was to evaluate the level of physical activity and functional autonomy of 30 senior women aged between 60 and 87 years, enrolled in a Basic Unit of Family Health, of the city of Crato-CE. To determine the level of physical activity, using the version of the Modified Baecke’s Questionnaire for Seniors and the functional capacity was assessed by the battery of tests of the Group of Latin American Development for the Maturity (GDLAM). In accordance with the Baecke, we evidence that on average the analyzed group presented moderate level of physical activity (QBMI=2,46). As the tests of GDLAM we found the following results: C10 (17,31), LPS (17,10), LPDV (8,56), LCLC (24,72), IG (36,89). Based on these results we observed that the functional autonomy of senior women stood at a level considered low. By the low levels of physical activity and poor autonomy found in this study, it is suggested the implementation of a program of a followed regular physical activity, in order to observe the possible relationship of cause and effect between the levels of physical activity and functional autonomy.Downloads
