Abstract

This article aims to present the results of academic research in the University of Santa Cruz do Sul - UNISC to investigate the reasons that lead people over sixty years to pursue a degree. The sample consisted of six people who participated in the survey by conducting a focus group aimed at promoting a space of exchange and data collection. The methodology used for data analysis was content analysis of Bardin (1977). Among the results, we observed that the vision for aging is being changed, with more older people seeking new projects and rescuing old life goals.
