This article presents the results of a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) on Scientific Dissemination (SD) and Science Fairs (SF) that was guided by the following research questions: What is the profile of research on SD in the context of SF in Brazil? Which authors were used in the selected works for the theoretical basis on SD? What are the main results and recommendations arising from these publications on SD? The SLR was used as a methodology for data collection. The searches were carried out on the Brazilian Portal of Open Access Scientific Publications and Data (Oasisbr), returning 421 works, however 57 comprised the textual corpus of this study. The results confirm the gap in the Brazilian literature on the studied theme and highlight SFs as a means for SD because they occur in a dialogical way, where popular participation is an essential element They also supported the proposal of three key areas to enhance DC: Combating pseudoscience, Community does science, School does DC.
