The radiographies have some limitations in their interpretation due to their bidimensional radio- graphic image, therefore, they only give us information about the height and width, lacking the depth. In view of this, the general practitioner can use some methods of radiographic localization that, in most cases, are not very disclosed and practically ignored but, if cor- rectly used, become of great value for the diagnosis and treatment plan. The objective of this paper was to present the methods of ra- diographic localization described by Clark, Miller-Winter, Le Master and Parma, mentioning their indi- cations, technical procedures for correct execution and radiographic interpretation. Key words: radiography, in- traoral techniques.Downloads
