Abstract

The aim of this study was to try an alternative treatment for anterior crossbite with dental cause. Although the orthodontic equipment be recommended for the correction of crossbite teeth, the access to this techniques is restrict due to people’s socioeconomic condition. This way, an inclined plane with composite was done in tooth 21, in an 8-year-old child, who had her occlusion damaged by trauma and failure of eruption. This inclined plane consists of putting composite on the badly positioned tooth, to allow a guide to correct the crossbite. Such technique proclaimed by Croll, proves to be efficient and fast, also in this case, because in 3 weeks the correction was already achieved, the eruption trauma was reduced and the tooth was, again, in conditions to follow its eruption without consequences to the future of this dentition. Key words: inclined plane, anterior crossbite
