In part I of this work, antigen- presenting cells (APC), human leukocyte antigen (HLA), and the most frequently lymphocyte popu- lation associated to the appearance of the lichen planus in oral cavity are studied. In part II, adhesion molecules, cytokines and humoral immunity are approached. It is also discussed the immunologic mechanisms associated to oral lichen planus (OLP).
