Abstract

This literature review aims to present the historical evolution of surgical procedures to correct partially edentated alveolar ridge for future prosthetic rehabilita- tion. Advantages, disadvantages, indications and counterindications are discussed under clinical and aesthetic point of view. Key words: ridge, augmenta- tion, volume.
