Abstract

The aim of this paper is to present a case report of a HIV- positive patient that did not use any kind of anti-retroviral thera- py and developed herpes zoster associated to candidiasis. The therapeutical approach consisted of EV antiviral, analgesic and antifungal prescription. Following the regression of herpes zoster, the patient started the treatment for HIV control. It is also presented a two-year follow-up of this case. Key words: herpes zoster, HIV, Aids, AZT, anti-retroviral.
