Abstract

The dental transposition is a rare and severe anomaly of development, being considered a kind of ectopic eruption in which two permanent teeth change position in the arch. This study discusses the different approaches in transpositions cases existent in the literature, as it is reported in a clinical case in which an ectopic eruption of a mandibular incisor lateral permanent was intercepted in order to avoid a future lateral incisor and canine transposition.
