The SSP and the construction of National Oral Health Policy in Brazil

The aim of this paper is to review the legal conquests obtained by the odontology, since the beginning of the democratic age with the Constitution of 1988, and its legitimated by the official health laws and its operational rules established by the Brazilian Health Ministry, following the paths designed by the national policy of oral health. By doing so, it has been set up a discussion in which this paper become a guidance for health planning in which public health managers and coordinators of the entire Brazilian territory, following the guidelines of the Situational Strategic Planning surrounded by Carlos Matus and the epidemiologic criteria used by the World Health Organization (WHO).Downloads
