A new possibility for the treatment of agenesia dental: report of a clinical case

Dental agenesis is an anomaly characterized by the lack of the dental element and may be associated with genetic factors or isolated phenomena. The lack of the dental element can alter functions such as aesthetics, phonetics, deglutition, and even the individual's personal life. Various treatments can be recommended depending on the need and conditions of the patient, such as surgery for the installation of implants and fixed prostheses. Therefore, the work demonstrates through a clinical case a new possibility for the treatment of dental agenesis, considering that the patient did not want to undergo invasive procedures, besides having an immediate discomfort with the aesthetics of her smile. The proposed treatment was to use ultra-fine ceramic laminates in the rehabilitation of aesthetics and function, considering that they are considered resistant and durable materials when correctly indicated.
