Protocolo de aplicação do diamino fluoreto de prata na avaliação da resistência de união de sistemas adesivos e cimentos de ionômero de vidro ao esmalte e à dentina previamente tratados: uma revisão de estudos laboratoriais

Abstract

Introdução: O diamino fluoreto de prata (DFP) tem sido considerado como um dos mais efetivos tratamentos não invasivos de lesões de cárie cavitadas em dentes decíduos. Além disso, pelo efeito inibidor de enzimas proteolíticas, também tem sido sugerido durante procedimentos restauradores, a fim de aumentar a longevidade de restaurações. No entanto, parece não existir, até o momento, um protocolo padrão para a aplicação do DFP, em especial, à dentina. Objetivo: Identificar, por meio de uma revisão da literatura, o protocolo usual de aplicação do DFP em estudos laboratoriais que avaliaram a resistência de união de sistemas adesivos e cimentos de ionômero de vidro ao esmalte e à dentina. Metodologia: A busca por estudos elegíveis foi realizada nas bases de dados PubMed/MEDLINE, Web of Science e Scopus, até maio de 2025, sem restrição de idioma. Dois avaliadores realizaram a seleção dos estudos, considerando critérios de inclusão e exclusão previamente estabelecidos. Os dados de interesse foram coletados e analisados descritivamente. Setenta e cinco estudos foram incluídos na revisão, publicados majoritariamente nos últimos 5 anos e em língua inglesa. A maioria dos estudos avaliou o efeito do DFP aplicado à dentina alterada por cárie de dentes permanentes. Dez produtos comerciais à base de DFP nas concentrações de 3,8%, 12%, 30% e 38% foram utilizados nos estudos incluídos. A diversidade de protocolos de aplicação do DFP nos estudos laboratoriais considerados impossibilitou a identificação de um protocolo padrão, e desse modo, que um protocolo clínico seguro e efetivo fosse sugerido.
