Fotobiomodulação no Manejo de Mucosite Oral e Xerostomia em Pacientes Oncológicos: Protocolos Padronizados, Mecanismos e Eficácia

Resumo

Objetivo: Realizar revisão integrativa sobre fotobiomodulação (FBM) como terapia adjuvante no manejo de mucosite oral e xerostomia em pacientes oncológicos. Métodos: Revisão integrativa conduzida nas bases PubMed e SciELO, utilizando descritores específicos combinados com operadores booleanos, incluindo estudos dos últimos 5 anos em português, inglês e espanhol. Resultados: A FBM demonstrou eficácia com protocolos utilizando lasers de 630-660nm e 810-830nm, potência 40-200mW e densidades 2-6J/cm². Protocolos profiláticos mostraram-se superiores, reduzindo mucosite grave e preservando função salivar em diversas populações, incluindo pediátrica. Conclusão: A FBM consolida-se como estratégia adjuvante segura, eficaz e com bom custo-benefício para manejo de complicações orais oncológicas, devendo ser integrada aos protocolos de suporte oncológico.
