Linguagem, Unidade e Ordem: aspectos da teoria de Hobbes sobre a paz social

Este artigo procura estabelecer uma relação entre as dimensões epistemológicas e políticas da obra de Thomas Hobbes, focando, especialmente, no desenvolvimento de uma teoria do discurso e da linguagem na primeira parte do Leviathan, e na ligação desta teoria do discurso e da linguagem com a política e escatologia Hobbesiana. Ao final do trabalho pretendo demonstrar que não obstante a incompatibilidade da tese norteadora de Hobbes com o liberalismo político contemporâneo podemos identificar na obra do autor duas teses fundamentais sobre legitimidade e representação que seguem orientando demandas por inclusão e igualdade em sociedades contemporâneas e liberais.
