The article analyzes causal aspects, in a more structural dimension, in economic, territorial and environmental terms, that produced the intense mobility of the population from Senegal to other countries, among which, at first, those of its surroundings, later, to Western Europe and to the North America and, finally, new trajectories, entering Latin America, in particular, Brazil. The article seeks to emphasize the fact that a positive representation of the need and optimization of migration, especially international migration, was produced in the interior of the country; concludes that the trajectory of this last migratory cycle towards Latin America is the result of this dynamic of new spaces, horizons and meanings given to the act of migrating.
