A historiografia sobre a Guerra Fria:
reflexões críticas sobre o pensamento de John Lewis Gaddis.

O objetivo do artigo é analisar criticamente as contribuições centrais do historiador pós-revisionista John Lewis Gaddis ao debate historiográfico sobre a Guerra Fria. A análise propõe uma comparação entre as teses pós-revisionistas e as teses ortodoxas, de modo a sustentar a hipótese de que o pós-revisionismo se converteu numa corrente historiográfica antirrevisionista. Para tal, o texto está organizado em três seções. Na primeira, propõe-se uma análise das críticas seminais de Gaddis às teses que ele atribuiu ao revisionismo, destacando as suas limitações. Na segunda seção, é realizada uma comparação entre o pós-revisionismo e a historiografia revisionista, tomando como referência as reflexões de Gaddis. Na terceira seção, sustenta-se que a agenda de pesquisa defendida por Gaddis representou a reassunção das teses ortodoxas, convertendo-se, nesse sentido, numa ortodoxia antirrevisionista.
