Resumo

O Núcleo de Documentação Histórica da Universidade Federal de Pelotas acumula as funções de preservação de acervos por meio de um centro especializado em documentação sobre temas vinculados à história social e regional e de laboratório de pesquisa. Dessa forma, constitui-se num centro de documentação com rico e variado acervo, principalmente sobre a região Sul. O NDH funciona há cerca de 19 anos, agregando vários pesquisadores, que contam com o auxílio de bolsistas e estagiários por eles orientados. O artigo pretende apresentar a documentação do NDH, especialmente aquela vinculada à história institucional dos trabalhadores (Delegacia Regional do Trabalho e Justiça do Trabalho), bem como analisar as potencialidades de pesquisa a ela vinculadas.
