Este texto aborda um documento atual, representativo do posicionamento de alguns líderes da Umbanda. A questão central tratada no mesmo é a relativa aos direitos humanos, procurando articular a Umbanda com pautas atuais e articuladas com a organização micro e macro social no país e no mundo. Neste sentido posiciona-se, entre outras, frente a questões que envolvem a cidadania, o gênero, a ecologia e à política reprodutiva.
