Resumo

As narrativas de viajantes são hoje fonte de pesquisa para estudiosos de diversas áreas. Os movimentos migratórios atuais, com o acelerado deslocamento de pessoas e de transmissão de informações faz com que mais narrativas surjam mais rapidamente. Com as migrações, e por consequência os deslocamentos de grupos de um local para outro, formam-se novas constelações, novas áreas que extrapolam fronteiras (geográficas, linguísticas, étnicas, etc.). Acompanhando esse processo, pretende-se tratar da narrativa de viajantes de modo geral e, em seguida, especificamente no contexto brasileira, finalizando com reflexões e perspectivas sobre essa importante forma de relatar.
