Résumé

Este artículo tiene como objetivo estudiar el trasfondo histórico e ideológico de la Revolución Cubana. Sin comprender este trasfondo sería muy difícil entender las transformaciones revolucionarias de Cuba desde 1959 hasta ahora. Un componente central del discurso ideológico de la Revolución fue el pensamiento político de José Marti, pensador y héroe de la lucha por la independencia. El Movimiento 26 de Julio continuó y llevó a su fin la Revolución democrática, popular y nacional que inició José Martí. El M.26.J declaró desde sus inicios que no era suficiente arrojar a la dictadura del poder, sino que había que crear un nuevo sistema político y una nueva sociedad.
