This article analyses in legal-environmental terms the metamorphoses of environmental diplomacy as an art and as a science capable of galvanizing political actors and international relations to reach consensus equal to ecological challenges. To this end, the evolution of environmental diplomacy from Stockholm to Rio 2012 is studied, as well as the annual COP meetings to ascertain the actual results. In comparative terms, environmental diplomacy is also analysed in Latin America and Africa, particularly in Brazil and Morocco.
