Elections campaign commercials: reflections on the limits to the right of free expression of thought

This article is the result of research carried out in the text of the Constitution of the Federative Republic of Brazil of 1988 and infraconstitutional legislation with regard to propaganda discipline held for pledges in election period. From a case occurred in the municipal elections of 2012, the analysis of the role of the State
and the limits to the exercise of political campaign when focused on decriminalization of drugs, especially the "marijuana", so make the canvass and the constitutional right to the free expression of thought with the relevant ethical and social values topped in the Constitution of the Republic of 1988, including the protection of family, children and adolescents, and the fight against the use and illicit trafficking illicit narcotic drugs and related drugs.
