Abstract

This article describes the relationship between two researches involving discussions about the potential of digital network technologies in the virtualization of teacher and student learning. The first search is developed in the Distance Education Course at Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (PEAD), supported by the MEC and implemented by UFRGS, and the second, called "The use of hypermedia to creating communities of learning in the municipal teaching system of Passo Fundo", occurs within the project Effort for Digital Inclusion at University of Passo Fundo. Thus, at the time it explains the theoretical base of both experiments, this text describes the objectives and methodological definitions of each of them to ultimately point to a future deepening involving the results collected on both fronts in a further research.
