Abstract

The insatisfaction of the treatment with mandibular complete dentures in edentulous patients has been a constant question in Dentistry. However, there are evidences in literature that mastication, speaking, quality of life and even nutrition can be remarkably improved if two implants were placed in mandibular anterior region to support and stabilize an overdenture. In this work, the authors present a clinical report of one mandibular overdenture supported by two implants retained in ball attachments as an option of prosthetic rehabilitation for unsatisfied patients with retention and stability of their conventional complete dentures. Key words: Endosseous implant. Attachment. Overdenture. Rehabilitation.
