Prognathic patient: technique variation in making upper complete denture - clinical case report

Abstract

The authors’ purpose was to verify an impression technique variation and the characteristic of the intra-oral record, in maxillary toothless and mandibular toothed prognathic patient. The authors reversed the localization, normally setted on mandibular arc. In this study, it was setted in a acrylic re- sin base on the mandibular natu- ral teeth. The platform was setted on the superior arc. The tracing intra-oral reversion allowed the prognathic patient to improve the mandibular movements to obtain the Gysi gothic arc.
