Basic elements in denture elaboration

Abstract

This study approaches the different aspects to be considered during adenture elaboration, con- sidering relevant and vital that all the knowledge obtained during the learning and applicability of the basic areas must, in a judicious manner, be taken account during the elaboration of these prosthesis. This is important over all in what refers to the aimed results because the clinical situations are always unique, requiring approach that may or not indicate the different technical steps to bo adopted.It is analysed the knowledge of the stomatognatic system relevant to denture elaboration, contained in the areas os morphological and physiological sciences, of the radio- graphic diagnosis and of technical aspects of prosthesis eslaboration. As philosophy already adopted in Faculdade de Odontologia de Pi- racicaba, it is believed that follow- ing certain basic considerations, complete dentures are able to fulfil their rehabilitative therapeutical role.
