An enclosed third molar, in an inverted position in the man- dibular ramus was removed. In order to minimize the bone loss during the tooth extraction, it was used an intermediary tooth section technique. Sectioning allows cen- tral, crown and apical portions of the tooth to be removed through a not too large opening provided by bone removal. Key words: enclosed tooth, surgical technique, tooth section.Downloads
