Report of clinical case of totally edentulous patient with large reabsorbed lower ridge and conse- quent difficulty of prosthesis sta- bilization, creating insecurity in the social contact and complaints of constant trauma. It was done a plan to place two osseointegrated implants and posterior installa- tion of overdenture with O’Ring attachments of the Bränemark implant system. The authors re- port the clinical procedures from the second surgical phase and from the making and installation of the overdenture, as well as the longe- vity of the treatment. In healthy patients the implant-supported prosthesis may be the best alterna- tive to rehabilitate total edentulous patients. It consists of a practicable treatment alternative, providing retention and stabilization to the prosthesis, allowing an increase in masticatory efficiency, security and psychological improvement in the patient’s self-esteem.
