The influence of chemical polishing on the surface rough- ness of acrylic resin samples was evaluated in this investigation. The samples, polished through conventional and chemical me- thods were submitted to surface roughness test in Prazis Rug-3 perfilometer. The data, submitted to ANOVA and Turkey’s test at a 5% significance level, showed that conventional polishing was more effective when compared to chemi- cal polishing in promoting a better superficial smoothness.
