Abstract

Myiases are infestations of live or dead tissues by larvae of flies, which are dipterans of the suborder cychorhapha. Although being considered rare, the human myiasis has been described in the center north, and south of america. In this paper the authors present a case report of one oral myiasis by Cochiomyia hominivorax, with emphasis on this pathology in the oral cavity, wich was seldom described. Key words: human myiases, oral myiases, Cochliomyia homi- nivorax.
