Ectodermal dysplasia: esthetic-functional rehabilitation using removable partial prosthesis - case report

The authors present a case of Ectodermal Dysplasia, which is a syndrome characterized by alte- rations in structures derived from ectoderm, generally affecting hair, nails, teeth, skin and glands. Among the alterations, there are scarce eye- brows and hair , badly formed nails, hypodontia, alterations in facial bo- nes and dry skin.This study reports the esthetic-functional rehabilitation of a 14-year-old patient, using a removable partial prothesis, which also promotes the psychological and social rehabilitation.
