Evaluation of transversal distances in individuals with posterior crossbite that seeking the Clinic of Preventive Orthodontics II of the School of Dentistry at the University of Passo Fundo

Objective: This study aimed to review Crossbite in the model study, the horizontal distance and characteristics of their children, 6 and 7 years who sought to Clinical Preventive Orthodontics II of the Faculty of Dentistry of UPF. Methods: Were examined 14 individuals with Crossbite and 30 subjects with normal occlusion. Results: The results were compiled, tabulated and analyzed by statistical methods T-student. The distances in cross measurements taken were not statistically significant. Conclusions: As there were no statistical differences detected, it is clear that to have a crossbite is not necessary to cross a very significant discrepancy. Key words: Crossbite. Jaw.
