Aliterature review on supernumerary teeth

Supernumerary teeth are "extra teeth" that appear more often in the permanent dentition and in the presence of systemic pathologies. They are mostly found in the anterior upperjaw area (90%).Agreatnumber oftheories can be found trying to explain the origin of this type of teeth. It's important to highlight the need for early diagnosis and treatment to prevent occlusion problems in the permanent dentition. Key words: supernumerary teeth, etiology, diagnosis.Downloads
