Anterior cross-bite: diagnosis and treatment of pseudoclass III - clinical case report

Abstract

ln this work, it is pointed out the importance ofan early diagnosis for the identification of a malocclusion and the definition of a treatment plan that makes possible to the individual, at correct growing and eraniofacial development age, the equilibrium ofhealth and function of the stomatognathic system. ln cases of dentoalveolar anterior cross-bites, the pseudoclass llI, the treatment may be done in a shortterm period, with the use of a more simple orthodontic apparatus and the obtainment of satisfactory results, returning the equilibrium ofthe craniofacial structures to the patient.
