Objective: To carry out an integrative review of the literature on the prevalence of bruxism in children with ADHD. Literature review: An integrative literature review was carried out based on the PRISMA model and based on the guiding question "Is there a higher prevalence of bruxism in children and adolescents with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder?". Searches were made in the MEDLINE/Pubmed and LILACS/VHL databases using the descriptors Child, ADHD, Attention Deficit Disorder with Hyperactivity and Bruxism and their Portuguese versions. After selecting the articles by analyzing titles and abstracts, they were read in full and considered original articles that covered children and adolescents between 5 and 18 years of age. Inclusion and exclusion criteria were also established in the study selection process. Eleven articles were selected, all with a cross-sectional observational design, specifically cross-sectional. Conclusion: The prevalence of bruxism in children with ADHD exceeds that observed in children without this disorder. However, it is worth highlighting that bruxism, in some studies, had a prevalence in the group of children with ADHD similar to the control group, composed of children without ADHD. Thus, it was observed that there are few studies on the topic investigated, especially when it comes to longitudinal studies, making it necessary to carry out research that evaluates the associated factors, prevalence, characteristics, treatment and consequences of this disorder.
