The objective: The objective of this research was to compare the technique of dental enamel microabrasion with 37% phosphoric acid and the technique of enamel microabrasion with 18% hydrochloric acid, both associated with pumice stone in the upper arch of permanent teeth. Case report: The case report described in the present work refers to a patient, without any systemic involvement, presented changes in her tooth enamel, after anamnesis and clinical examination, the diagnosis of dental fluorosis was made, she accepted the Consent Form Free and Informed, therefore, she underwent this treatment at the Dentistry Clinic at Centro Universitário Cesuca, Cachoeirinha RS. The case was recorded, through photographs, from the beginning until the end of the techniques used to treat dental fluorosis. Final considerations: The microabrasion technique with the two acids had a satisfactory result without visually demonstrating differences. The importance of a correct diagnosis and adequate application of the technique in the treatment of dental fluorosis is highlighted.
