Abstract

This study, through a review of literature, describes three inter- maxillary fixation methods (Erich arches, orthodontic brackets and monocortical screws) used in the treatment for mandibular fractu- res, showing advantages and di- sadvantages of each technique. Key words: Erich arches, interma- xillaryfixation, mandibular frac- tures, monocortical screws, ortho- dontic brackets.
