The secrecy professional and the ethical values.

Abstract

The secrecy professional is part of the ethical values that should be followed by the professionals of the health. This study aims to analyze the behavior of professionals and students of the dentistry in the situations that involve the secrecy professional. The sample was constituted by students of dentistry of the Bauru Dental School, University of São Paulo (n = 58) and dentists (n = 32) that they worked in the city of Bauru, to divide in two groups, G1 and G2, respectively. A questionnaire was applied in the participants of research contends 6 objectives questions, that enclosed facts of the dentistry clinic involving the secrecy professional. The statistics analysis was descriptive type, it showed for relative frequency. The majority of the participants maintain act Code of Dental Ethics according to. However, when the question involved the family, the degree of kindred had been more important and the secrecy professional nor always was kept.
