User’s evaluation about the quality of a dental service rendered by dental students

In order to the services of health be improved, it is important to evaluation their users’ satisfaction. This study aimed to know the users’ perception of a sample of 182 adults related to their satisfaction in relation to the dental attendance offered by the Integrated Dental Clinic of Piracicaba Dental School. The data was accomplished through semi-structured interview, in the period of February to July of 2007, using a questionnaire composed of 15 questions approached clinical attendance and organizational aspects of the services rendered by the Institution. The analysis of the data showed that the majority of the users revealed not to have sense fear of anything during the treatment, classifying as “great” the attendance rendered by the students and teachers. It was verified that to give attention to the user of the service it was a fundamental tool in this evaluation process, once the users were capable to point improvements, challenges and they also suggested coherent ways to overcome their current needs of the attendance received at the Integrated Clinic of FOP. It was concluded that most of the interviewed users was satisfied in relation to the quality of the dental service rendered by the students, teachers and employees of the clinic of the above-mentioned institution.Downloads
