Abstract

Amelogenesis Imperfecta is definited as a diverse group of hereditary disorders associated with enamel structural abnormalities. Because the occurrence of this anomaly in ratio between 1:718 the 1:14.000 and complexity in its diagnosis and treatment, the present study has for intention to describe the longitudinal accompaniment of a case of hipoplastic type amelogenesis imperfecta in both dentitions, of a five years old leucoderma feminine, presenting yellowish, disformes and of modified size teeth. The clinical and radiographic accompaniment of the patient during five years involved verbal orientation of oral hygiene, the accomplishment of restorations, endodontic and surgical treatment, and restoration of the vertical dimension. Due to possible complexity of cases as of this patient, correct identification of this disease followed for the restoring and preventive treatment are essential so that the patient reach a esthetic-functionary dentition.
