Abstract

The restoration of fractured incisors is as so esthetically important as functionally. The aim of this study is to present the clinical case of a 13 year-old patient who has an oblique fracture involving the half-third of the permanent upper central incisor. Because of the time has occurred since the accident, there was loss of dental space, being necessary the assembling of partial orthodontic appliance in order to restore the necessary denture space. After the recuperation, a extracted tooth fragment, obtained from a Human Teeth Bank was used to restore the fractured tooth, being selected to in accordance with the color and contour of the remaining, with cuts needed to achieved to reach the adequate adaptation. This type of treatment is an alternative for conventional restorative techniques. The aesthetic and dental result was favorable, fact that justifies this technique indication.
