Objective: To evaluate surface degradation by roughness of a conventional composite resin and two Bulk Fill stored in acid solutions after simulated brushing. Materials and Methods: 30 cylindrical specimens (10 mm x 1 mm) of each resin were made: Z350 resin (3M ESPE), Filtek Bulk Fill resin (3M ESPE) and Tetric N-Ceram resin (Ivoclar Vivadent). The specimens were immersed in three types of beverages (n = 10): coca cola, lemon gatorade and distilled water (control) and after the immersion were performed brushing simulation. Subsequently, they were submitted to surface roughness evaluation (roughness gauge). Results: The results were submitted to the statistical tests of Kruskal-Wallis, Shapiro-Wilk, Bonferroni and Wilcoxon, the results showed that the solutions and brushing affected the composite resins. Conclusion: Among the resins studied, Tetric-N ceram showed to be more negatively affected in the roughness when compared to the resins studied. However, Bulk Fill resins showed satisfactory properties compared to conventional resin.
