Abstract

O presente artigo estrutura-se em duas partes. Na primeira, oferecemos um breve histórico das origens e das influências da Frente Sandinista de Libertação Nacional, bem como de sua forma de atuação durante o período da dinastia Somoza. Posteriormente, focalizamos a atenção dispensada pelos sandinistas à educação, vista como instrumento fundamental dentro do quadro revolucionário que se instaurou na Nicarágua na década de 1980.
