Abstract

El presente texto procura brevemente realizar uma especie de mapeamiento sobre las preocupaciones teóricas y analíticas sobre el estudio de los movimientos sociales. En tal sentido, se establecen algunas pautas de análisis para uma comprensión e interpretación más adecuada de los fenómenos colectivos actuales. Por otro lado, el texto se dedica a articular el marco de análisis sobre movimientos sociales con el derrotero político y social vivido por la izquierda política en Uruguay, fundamentalmente a partir del proceso dere-democratización política de la década de 80. Se discute, finalmente, el espacio político-cultural que hoy ocupa al estar en el gobierno nacional, sugeriéndose algunas opiniones sobre su significado histórico en nuestro presente.
