Maio de 1968: a greve geral que abalou a França

O presente trabalho pretende ajudar o leitor a entender o que realmente foi o evento histórico que, na França, costuma ser eufemisticamente chamado de “acontecimentos de Maio de 1968”. Para tanto inicio historiando, isto é, apresentando um relato histórico dos fatos quase que dia a dia e de forma tão objetiva (mas não neutra) quanto possível. Após, passo a uma tentativa de interpretação, limitada a dois aspectos: o que se refere às causas do movimento e no que concerne ao seu desfecho (o fim precipitado da greve geral, a vitória eleitoral do general De Gaulle e a derrota eleitoral dos partidos de esquerda).
