Social movements of women:
memories, networks and images

In this text, we present the memories of the Andradina Women's Movement organized in the midst of a progressive Catholic entity on the outskirts of the municipality between the 1970s and 1996. The research trajectories that unveiled the movement's documentary collection allow us to apprehend the nuances of actions and marginal collections of peripheral popular groups, such as the use of a network woven in the solidarity of groups to enhance the role of documents received and produced in the experiences of struggles. Finally, applying an intersectional perspective, we analyze the aesthetics of images available in the documentary collection of IAJES to recognize elements implicit in the texts, understanding the imagery of peripheral popular movements as an expression of their social expectations, of power and radicalism.
