Focus and Scope

The journal History: Debates and Trends - HDT is a scientific journal in the History area, linked to the Postgraduate Program in History of the University of Passo Fundo (PPGH / UPF).

The aim of the journal is to publish, through unpublished texts, results of researches in the areas of History and related, disseminating the production of researchers from the University of Passo Fundo and other institutions, promoting the exchange of scientific production.

The HDT is published quarterly and is intended for the publication of unpublished researches of community members of researchers in the Humanities and Social Sciences areas, linked to higher education institutions and research centers in the country and abroad.

Peer Review Process

All submissions are preliminarily considered by the editor-in-chief. After this initial assessment, adequate contributions to the scope, focus and standards of the HDT are subject to at least a double-blind peer review round. The ad hoc evaluators / reviewers are selected because of their knowledge and experience and may include teachers / researchers linked to UPF and HDT magazine or to other institutions in Brazil and abroad.
In case of controversy among the reviewers, a third party will be appointed to carry out the evaluation.
Opinions may indicate immediate publication, publication with appropriateness or refusal.
The authors will be informed of the opinion and should, if they exist, carry out the adjustments pointed out by the reviewers.
The average time between receipt of the article and the information in the opinion is two months.
If the article is accepted, it will be published according to the stipulated dates for the volumes.

HDT has biannual frequency until 2017
From 2018 the magazine will be quarterly.

Open Access Policy

INTEGRAL FREE ACCESS: the journal offers immediate free access to its full content, following the principle of making available free scientific knowledge to the public, as it provides greater democratization of access and dissemination of this knowledge.

The texts published in the journal can, with the appropriate citation, be made available on scientific sites such as Academia, Research Gate, etc.
